DevonWay is pleased to announce that LabWay is now in production at Idaho National Laboratory. This collaborative vision became a successful reality as the application went live on Monday, September 9th, 2013.
LabWay is the solution for the consolidation of Nonconformance reports, Issues Management, and Request for Services into a single application, providing easy access, comprehensive prioritization, clarity of action and issue closure status. It allows for a single point of entry for the initiation of all types of work, allowing for all personnel to have easy access to the system. INL engaged DevonWay to create LabWay as an improved efficient method for tracking and managing issues, with an offsetting value proposition allowing the sunsetting of standalone custom continuous improvement tools in use by different business lines. LabWay’s business case also included such tangible and intangible benefits as: engaged management vs. informed management, and promoting Safety Conscious Work Environment, while ensuring value for the tax payer’s dollar.
The new system enables utilizing tenants of a nuclear conscious work environment to promote and develop the right culture (safety, quality and efficiency), helps demonstrate safety leadership, supplies clear lines of responsibility/accountability, develops teamwork and mutual trust and is improving employee and management engagement.
The application is tailored to fit specific INL requirements while still reaping the benefits of DevonWay’s user-friendly platform. LabWay is the result of collaboration between DevonWay and Idaho National Laboratory and is an exciting example of custom apps configured YourWay.
