DevonWay Mobile 1.33 Release Highlights

DevonWay Mobile 1.33 was released on February 4. It includes certificate-based, per-app VPN support for iOS devices as well as more date options for Mobile Observations.

Per-app VPN support for iOS devices

DevonWay Mobile improves security and ease of use with certificate-based, per-app VPN support for iOS devices. On these devices, app users who get disconnected from their VPN are automatically reconnected  without having to enter credentials. In cases when a VPN is required but not detected, mobile users get a message to reconnect to their VPN. You can configure this message to provide helpful instructions for your users. 

More date options for Mobile Observations

The 1.33 release enables you to limit and validate date fields in Mobile Observations. For example, you can restrict fields so users can enter only future dates or past dates, thus making it easier for users to quickly select valid dates. The example at right enables entry only of today's date or a date in the past.

Note that this functionality is already available for other DevonWay Mobile apps. Some configuration changes are needed to enable this functionality for existing Mobile Observations implementations.
